Hope all of you are in the best of your spirits.
While I struggle to hold on to a lot of things that I have to share with you, allow me some more time to prepare myself and tell you about things I've been upto. On the other hand, I am so excited about Spring/Summer being here. The fresh breeze of air, blossoming flowers, cool ice-creams, fresh watermelon, cute summer sun dresses all bring a wide smile on our faces. After a fairly mild winter that teased us with spring-like weather back in February, suffice it to say we're ready for official spring weather and the clothes to accompany it. And, what better way to be back with a Spring/Summer trends 2017 : Essentials.

1. Statement Stripes
Stripes in every color, shape, size and form are welcome this season. Be it broad bands, skinny hypnotic stripes, pinstripes or the nautical stripes. They are so fresh and clean. From seaside to school to sailor and more, stripes are all welcome.  Go for vibrant and bold stripes this season.


2. Head-to-Toe Florals
Florals? For spring?
Yes, please.
So rad in colouration, scale, fabrication and mood that designers thought it best to go full throttle in full blooms from head to toe, shoes included. Florals give you such a spring/summery vibes and make you happy.

3. Playing Peekaboo
The see-through dress is ruling this season. You can go all cute with your pastel-hued tulle and t-shirts. Go for sheer tops with your basic denim or sheer longline tops with some cute bralettes and denim underneath. But, remember, this is a million miles away from the A-list world's "naked dress" obsession.

4. Post-Minimalism
Just don't call it minimalistic. There's so much more to minimalistic style. Minimalism comes armed with subtle details to make even the simplest item (take for example, a cardigan) seem like the most exciting thing you've ever worn. Go play with minimalism this season.



5. New Shirting
Every season, designers task themselves to reinvent everyone's most essential workwear staple - the button-down shirt. In 2017, that looks like one-shoulder split-shirt tops, shirt dresses with graphic lines and oversize shapes with extended sleeves.

6. Bra Out
Nope, no more lurking beneath shirts and tops. In 2017, bras are getting their time in the spotlight. You can go for strappy, lace, leather, floral or luxe velvet textures. A cute bralette and a little sheer will do the trick.

7. Statement - Making Slogans
Perfect for the introvert - tees and dresses that do all the talking for you.
The return of the slogan tee is here. Whether you want yours to be political or just super sassy, try tucking into a maxi skirt or your basic denim and wearing with plenty of eyeliner.


8. Slider Comfort Fantasy/Easy Mules
Flip-flops were once a huge thing on the streets, particularly in the 90s. Now, we have some funky sliders appearing instead, something we noticed last spring as well. They are flats with a laid back presentation and updated for the summer with sequins and floral designs. Also, it's so dang comfortable. Call it the style that just won't quit. Easy slip-on and mules : either with closed or open toes are the best option with any outfit.
